This guitar was the first prize at Merlefest's 2009 Chris Austin Songwriting contest. It was won by Brink Brinkman who won 1st place in the gospel category. He donated the guitar with signatures to raise money for the St. Jude's Research Hospital. The autographs were collected at the 2009 Bean Blossom Festival as well as at the MACC festival (Musicians Against Childhood Cancer). The guitar was raffled off at the MACC festival.
